ABOUT US

Pro Musica Singers is a small community chamber choir whose members are energetic, vibrant and keen to make music together for the enjoyment of all who listen to us. Our repertoire includes Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Contemporary music which we perform regularly.

2012 marked the 60th anniversary of the founding of a madrigal group within the Queensland University Music Society. That year was 1952 and that madrigal group has evolved to become Pro Musica Singers. The original group practised at lunchtime in the Music Department in George Street, Brisbane, and then followed the Department to the St Lucia campus of the university, later moving to the city, to Woolloongabba, and more recently to West End in Brisbane as an independent community choir.

We rehearse Monday evenings 7.30-9pm at 47 Dornoch Terrace West End. We welcome new members, and can be contacted via email info@promusicasingers.com or phone our President Bruce 0478 625 480 for more details. No audition is required, and we invite singers to come and try a few rehearsals with us before committing. Sight reading skills are appreciated but not necessary! Our current annual fees are $400, and our kind treasurer is flexible with payment plans.
